Celebrating Europe day in Trikala and promoting NEUEYT Project

During the official day of Europe, which is on 9 of May, the NEUEYT project team from E-Trikala in Greece had the opportunity to inform the general public, both about the project and the initiatives that are being implemented during this period. 

About the event

The briefing took place on May 9, at the Music School of Trikala, which implements the School-Embassy program of the European Parliament (EPAS) which aims to enrich the knowledge of young people, coming from different educational, social and geographical environments, around European parliamentary, the values ​​of political democracy in Europe, and the role and functioning of the European Parliament, which represents European citizens.

In the framework of this day, E-TRIKALA had the opportunity to present the NEUEYT project and to inform both the political representatives and the student community about the 3 NEUEYT initiatives implemented in the city of Trikala.

Our partners from Cyprus, Hub Nicosia made a new video for the 6 steps to participation in civic and democratic processes initiative which will be implemented in their country. 6 steps to participation in civic and democratic processes initiative training scheme aims to propose a methodological approach to both promote active participation among underrepresented young people and engage various stakeholders/ policymakers in constructive dialogue and action with young people. All in all, it is an active learning process which aims to foster changes in our society, it is a problem-based learning process which encourages young people to ask questions, reflect on issues that affect their lives and explore the complexity of real world’s situations. You can find more info behind this initiative on different languages here.

2nd Transnational Partners Meeting in Nicosia,Cyprus

From 3-4 May the Second Partners Transnational Meeting was held in Nicosia, Cyprus, hosted by our partners HUB Nicosia. The event took place in premises of the hosting organization where most of the partners joined the physical meeting and the rest of the partners who couldn’t attend the event participated via ZOOM.

On the first day we disscussed about each of the 8 Iniatives, each partner had a presentation and shared at which stage they are of implementing, what are the next steps and timeline of the activities. We focused also on the requirments for imporovemnt for better impact. Addtionaly, we had a session about the Quality Inssurance – monitoring of the 8 activities, as well for te upcoming multistakeholders tables that each od the partners should organize and the development of the policy paper recommendation.

One half of the second day was dedicated about the dissmination activitties, going through the outcomes that we deveopled and what comes next, how to attract the target and bring good activitites and content in order to create more engagment. We saw the videos made by each partner for promotion of each of the 8 iniatives. The meeting was closed with the last session about the mangament of the project, deliverbales, financial matters and the upcoming report.

And last but not least we decided when the 3rd transnational meeting in Pau will be held 🙂  Stay tuned we are preparing intresting activtities for the young people in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, North Macedonia, France and Norway.

New videos on English and French language are created by our partners from France, Pistes Solidaries for the Silent Debate initiative that will start to be implemented from June.
The Silent Debate aims at giving youngsters the opportunity to express themselves on several current topics by learning how to debate and exchanging between each other and policy makers. You can find more info behind this initiative on different languages here.
