Dissemination campaign of We&Us Panel is in progress – 500 answers in three months of the survey produced!

But this was only the second part, and the third one is approaching. After collecting data, in October the Scientific Committee will elaborate all answers and organize them in a short report to introduce to policy makers in their country and throughout Europe. 21 policy makers will be involved in this exchange with youngsters.

Scientific Committee of the We and Us Panel Iniative are 11 university youngsters from North Macedonia and Italy that keep working hard!
After three months of meetings and “homeworks”, survey is finally ready. What survey?
We’re collecting data among youngsters throughout EU (14-29 years old) about the interest fields important for them, they
would like to discuss with policy makers. You can choose among 10 selected area of interest and add the
reason of your choice.
In September, members of Scientific Committee will process data and produce a short report… to be ready
in October for the meeting with policy makers!

Two weeks ago, HUB NICOSIA in collaboration with the Youth Board of Cyprus and the Cyprus Youth Information Centres published a press release announcing their collaboration. As the press release reads: “We are pleased to invite you to participate in the initiative entitled 6 STEPS TO PARTICIPATION IN CIVIC AND DEMOCRATIC PROCESSES, which aims to promote the active participation of young people in their communities. This initiative aims to encourage young people to ask questions, reflect on issues that affect their lives and seek solutions to local issues.”

HUB NICOSIA announced the three dates for the preparatory sessions for the 6 STEPS initiative in which youngsters from 3 different rural communities were invited to submit their interest.

Creating a NEUEYT Active Community – Stakeholders Meeting

On the 14th of July the Youth Council Organizing committee had a meeting with local stakeholders at the Tsitsani Museum, in order to discuss issues and potential activities that promote youngster’s democratic participation. In addition to this, NEUEYT initiatives currently being implemented (Voice Up, Digital Youth Council and 6 steps) were presented and discussed with the participants. The committee mostly focused in explaining to the stakeholders the actions that need to be followed for the Youth Council to be created and the educational value of 6 the steps initiative for all youngsters wishing to be involved at the Youth Council.

With the support of E-TRIKALA and through the NEUEYT Project, more actions like this one will be carried out the following two months. Check out the photos from the event.

The first meeting of stakeholder table in Italy

On the 30 th of June, the first meeting of stakeholder table on the theme – Youth and political commitment; was held for the city and province of Verona.

The Neueyt – Youth Digital Participation project offered us the opportunity to meet representatives of the parties involved on a daily basis in the active citizenship activities of young people in Verona: Jessica Cugini – journalist at the Nigrizia Foundation, Chiara Danese – lawyer and councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Belfiore, Giulia Gambaretto – student of Political Sciences, Simonetta Guadin – president of the Multiforme Cooperative, Marco Tabacchini – high school teacher, Rachele Tomezzoli – anthropology student and activist at the Paratodos Self-managed Laboratory, Paola Zermian – territorial educator. For Glocal Factory, Sara Khamlich and Anna Schena organized the meeting.

After the presentation of the project and its collection of good practices, a brief discussion brought the good practices to the agenda with their strengths and difficulties that everyone experiences and has experienced in their daily lives. It is only the first of a series of meetings that aims to bring the topic of digital active citizenship of young people in the Verona area to the agenda!
