U4GM How to Unlock 40 New Camos in BO7 Season 3

If you've been putting real time into Black Ops 7 lately, you've probably already felt how packed Season 3 is. The big talking point is the camo count. More than 40 fresh looks, spread across nearly every part of the game, so it's no surprise people are confused about what unlocks where. A lot of players jump in expecting one simple path, but that's not how BO7 works this year. Even if you're running a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby to warm up or level faster, you'll still notice the system is layered, with rewards split between progression, events, and new weapon grinds.

How the core camo system works

Before getting into the new season drops, it helps to understand the base setup. BO7 keeps the usual military camos tied to simple tasks like headshots, but that's only the start. After that, special camos kick in, and those are where things get annoying for a lot of people. You'll be asked for stuff like movement kills, streaks, odd kill conditions, or mode-specific requirements that don't always happen naturally. Then there's the mastery track. That's where the real status camos sit, like Shattered Gold, Arclight, Tempest, and Singularity. Those aren't quick unlocks. They're account-wide goals that take time, and yeah, they're meant to keep you playing well past weapon max level.

Where Season 3 adds the biggest camo gains

The first place most players should check is the Season 3 Battle Pass. Both the free path and the paid version include weapon cosmetics, and some of them are clearly designed to stand out more than standard progression skins. A few have that animated, premium feel that people usually chase in event rewards. After that, weekly challenges matter way more than some players think. Miss one set, and that camo may be gone for good. Limited-time events are the same story. They tend to hide some of the best seasonal designs, especially the ones that look different enough to feel worth the grind instead of just being another recolour.

New weapons mean more unlocks

A huge slice of that 40-plus number comes from the new Season 3 weapons. The MK35 ISR, VST SMG, Strider 300, 1911, the siren-style special weapon, and the katana all feed into the camo system. That matters because each new gun brings its own set of basic, special, and mastery progression steps. So even if the season didn't add dozens of standalone challenge camos, your inventory still starts filling up fast once you begin leveling the new gear. If you like rotating between Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, this season feels a bit easier to manage too, because progress carries across modes instead of locking you into one playlist.

Best way to collect as many as possible

If your goal is simple, then the routine is simple too. Push Battle Pass tiers steadily, clear weekly challenges before they disappear, and spend most of your energy on the new weapons first. That's the cleanest route. A lot of players waste time chasing everything at once and end up barely finishing any of it. Season 3 actually rewards focus more than brute-force grinding. And if you want a smoother way to test builds, finish weapon levels, or just avoid the usual sweaty lobbies for a bit, plenty of people mix that grind with a CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies session since it can make the whole camo chase feel far less messy in practice.
