You'd expect it to come from Blue Gate, but that's usually not how it goes. More often, it turns up in random containers on other maps, especially inside office-style rooms or lived-in spaces. Drawers, cabinets, lockers, desk corners. That sort of thing. If you spend time looting places like Ruby Residence or the Research and Administration Building, you've got a decent shot at seeing one eventually.

Where the key actually goes

Once you've got the key, the next step is heading to Pilgrim's Peak on the Blue Gate map. It sits up in the far northeast, so this usually isn't a casual detour unless your route already bends that way. The Communication Tower is easy enough to spot because it dominates the area, but the locked door itself isn't obvious at all. A lot of players waste time checking the lower entrances around the base or running up the visible platforms. That's not it. The key is for a basement access door hidden underneath the main structure, tucked below the tower supports where it's easy to miss if you don't already know it's there.

The easiest way in

The cleanest approach is from above. Climb to the upper section of the tower first, then use the cable down into the lower area instead of wandering around the outside and making noise. It's quicker, and honestly it feels safer most runs. When you land near the bottom, look for the heavy metal door beneath the framework. That's the one. Walk up, use the key, and it'll be consumed right away. No second use, no backup charge, nothing. So if you brought it in by accident on some random run before this, yeah, that would've been a painful way to lose it.

What you get for using it

The room behind the door is worth checking because it's compact and efficient. You're not opening some giant maze full of side rooms. It's a tight loot space packed with useful pulls: server racks, weapon cases, resource crates, and loose loot that can be scooped fast if you know what you're looking for. That's what makes this key good. It doesn't waste your time. You open, sweep, and move. If you can line it up with a Night Raid, even better, since the extra loot quality can make the run feel a lot more rewarding. Still, don't force it if the map is hot. This is one of those places that pays off most when your timing's right.

When to keep it and when to cash it in

If you pick up the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key, don't carry it around every match just because it looks important. Stick it in your stash and save it for a run where you know you're going north and can actually make the tower part of your path. That alone will spare you a lot of frustration.
